Our History

Heritage Textiles

With a legacy spanning more than 140 years, Heritage Textiles stands as a testament to endurance, craftsmanship, and community impact. Since its inception, this venerable mill has woven itself into the fabric of our region’s history, making a profound mark on both the industrial landscape and the lives of countless families.

Founded over a century ago by John A. Humphrey as Humphrey’s Woolen Mill, the mill embarked on a journey that would evolve from a modest wool textile enterprise into an enduring cornerstone of the local economy, supplying customers across North America. Throughout its long and storied history, the mill has been a source of steady employment, sustaining generation after generation of families who have found not just jobs, but careers within its walls.
